Leadership and Vision – Background Information / Documents

Continuous Improvement:

  • District Priorities flow directly from the work done in System Site Reviews. Based on the feedback received, the Board of Education reviews and recommends next steps for priorities. The staff then collaborate to refine the priorities and tie them to measurable goals. The administration continues the flesh out the priorities and begins implementing systemic changes.

Communication:

  • One-pager identifying our SCAP priorities

Vision:

  • All strategic priorities are tied to the foundational vision and mission set by the Board of Education
    • Vision: Cultivating the Future
    • Mission: Karval School District provides a safe educational experience for all students and staff through an engaging, welcoming environment so that all may reach their authentic potential.

Board Leadership:

  • The Board of Education created both vision and mission statements to drive the governance of the district. The Board president facilitates discussion and revisiting the driving statements of the district at every regular board meeting.

Staff and teacher turnover:

The district relies on procedure manuals and curriculum maps in order to effectively manage the disruption inherent in staff turnover.
